Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our background verification services
What is RCU verification?
RCU (Risk Containment Unit) verification is a pre-disbursal check used by banks and lenders. It confirms that the borrower, the declared residence and the business actually exist as documented, and reports red flags such as an address no one associates with the applicant, a locked or mismatched business premises, or contacts reused across unrelated applications.
Is my data safe with Interaxic?
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and audit-logged, and retention follows a defined schedule so records are not kept longer than necessary. Security controls are reviewed periodically and findings are actioned.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes, business and corporate users can request a free trial covering employment, education and reference verification. Please note that some education verifications carry a university fee, and where that applies we tell you in advance before the check is initiated.
How do I get started with Interaxic?
Contact us through the website, email or phone with the roles you are hiring for. We map a package to those roles, share pricing and turnaround, and set up your account with access to the client dashboard for raising and tracking cases.
What industries do you serve?
Banking and financial services, IT and IT-enabled services, manufacturing, healthcare, education, logistics and transportation, hospitality, real estate, BPO and shared service centres, and more. Screening packages are configured around the risk profile and regulatory expectations of the industry.
Can I verify an international candidate?
Yes. We run international criminal record checks through global databases, and verify employment, education and references across 200+ countries through our partner network. Coverage and expected turnaround differ by country, and we confirm feasibility before the case is accepted.
Is background verification confidential?
Yes. Information is shared only with the personnel directly working on the case, transmitted over encrypted channels, and stored with strict access controls. Findings are reported to the authorised point of contact named by your organisation, never to third parties.
What documents are needed for verification?
It depends on the check being run. Commonly required documents are a government-issued identity document (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport or Voter ID), educational certificates, the offer or relieving letter, address proof, and reference details. Your account manager shares the exact list for each component before the case is allocated.
How long does a background check take?
Turnaround depends on the check. Education and employment verifications are usually completed within 24 to 48 hours. Checks that depend on police records, court records or global databases typically take 3 to 7 working days. Every component in your package carries its own expected turnaround, and we flag delays as they happen rather than at the end.
What is background verification?
Background verification is the process of verifying the credentials, identity and history of an individual or organisation. It covers educational qualifications, employment history, criminal records, address and identity verification, and more, so that the information a candidate has provided can be treated as authentic.
How can one avoid fraud during the background verification process?
To avoid fraud, ensure that your personal and professional information is accurate and truthful. Verify the authenticity of your documents and report any suspicious activity.
Are there any privacy concerns during background verification?
Privacy is a key concern during background verification. Organizations require the candidate’s consent and must follow legal compliance. Data is kept secure and confidential.
What legal rights should I be aware of during the background verification process?
You have several legal rights, including:
Consent: Background verification cannot be conducted without your consent.
Disclosure: The results of the verification should be shared with you.
Dispute Resolution: If there is an issue with the verification, you can file a dispute and request corrections.
